Peru - voluntary work

Description

Peru is probably one of the South American countries with the most tourist treasures: Machu Picchu, the Andean train, Cusco capital of the Inca empire, the Amazon rainforest and so on. The richness of its history, the diversity of its landscapes and the vestiges of its ancient civilizations, Peru is a country to visit absolutely.

Community involvement consists mainly of agricultural work but also the organization of activities for the beautification of the habitat, renovation of the small school, improvement of the irrigation system, etc.

Accommodation during the tourist part of the trip is in a hotel (6 nights) and in a host family during the stay in the community (3 nights). This will help tame, the authentic Andean rural lifestyle. Note that the family accommodation in Peru is rustic with no running water or electricity and you need to bring your sleeping bag.
