Ecuador - Voluntary work

Description

Countries of great geographical diversity, Ecuador, is a small country wedged between Colombia and Peru. It has grandiose landscapes: volcanoes, beaches, the Andes mountain range and its many peaks of 5000M without forgetting the Amazon jungle. In addition, Ecuador is a leader in community tourism.

This trip will make you discover two distinct regions, namely Otavalo in the mountains north of Quito and Misahualli in the Amazon. You will participate with Ecuadorians in the "mingas", collective works aimed at the welfare of the community. You could do renovations, help with growing crops or harvesting, help with homework for children, help at the medical center as needed.

The accommodation is varied from The hotel to Quito, Hacienda Cotopaxi, then in a house on stilts in the Amazon or tent, not to mention family accommodation. Although safe, a good sense of adventure is required to fully appreciate this exotic experience.
